The program, supported by Boeing, is conducted by the Entrepreneurship Foundation of Turkey in partnership with Turkish Airlines Terminal, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) 1773 Technopark, and IGA HUB.

Real-Time Tracking Available

Sena Şahan, president of the HKU Aerospace and Aviation Society and captain of the FireFlies team, stated that they are continuing to improve the product and application, saying, “As a team, we aimed to develop a product that not only enhances the passenger experience in the aviation industry but also provides financial benefits to airlines. With this solution, we hope to add value to the aviation sector and shape the future. Our product offers the opportunity to track luggage in real-time, allowing passengers to monitor their luggage during connecting flights and check for any irregularities. Additionally, our project is supported by the Student-Oriented Project Call under the coordination of the Hasan Kalyoncu University Scientific Research Projects (BAP) unit.”

We congratulate our students and wish them further success.
